BIOGRAPHY

Samuel is a mechanical engineering major at Gonzaga University with a passion for music, applied math, science, and animals (especially cats)! Beyond the professional YouTube facade, he enjoys a normal, happy life with his family and two British Shorthair kittens in Washington state.

I started playing the trumpet as a fifth-grader in beginning band, and if you can imagine, I spent my two first years absolutely hating it, never practicing, and constantly sitting last chair in my school band. Things changed in seventh grade, and since then, I have taken private lessons with two professional instructors, played in a multitude of advanced ensembles, started several of my own instrumental groups, participated in solo competitions and masterclasses, done many 'one-man-band' style recordings, and dabbled in composing and arranging.

That said, my musical journey has not been a smooth road. I have undergone braces, an embouchure shift, and other tribulations to get to where I am, and I'm still only taking my first steps. For this reason I am determined to make the learning curve a little less steep for other budding musicians and help them to find enjoyment in their craft.

Make sure to check out my channel on YouTube, and email me if you have any music-related questions!

Thank you for your time!

~Sam
